Fire Cider

My absolute favourite healing winter drink, even though you can enjoy it pretty much any time you feel like you are about to get sick, is good old Fire Cider.

I can not tell you the number of people I’ve helped with something so simple. I make a big batch, store it in the fridge and sip it as a tea or a shot for a morning wake up.

The best thing is that you probably already have all the ingredients at home, so let’s get started. I prefer to use organic ingredients, but anything you have will do

  • 1 big jar
  • lemons
  • ginger
  • onions
  • garlic
  • turmeric
  • apple cider vinegar, organic, with mother

Simply wash it all well, cut into chunks and let it sit in the jar covered in ACV. I usually leave it up to 24h on the counter. After that I strain it and store in the fridge. THIS IS GOING TO BE HOT 🙂 so feel free to dilute it with water. But of course you know this – the stronger the better.

Enjoy a shot a day, and I promise you will never get the flu again…or at least not this winter. 🙂
